Nestled in the picturesque town of Zavidovići, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Krivaja Homes stands as a testament to enduring craftsmanship and family values.
Our private family business is deeply rooted in a legacy spanning over 70 years. As you collaborate with us, understand that you aren't merely engaging with a company – you're being welcomed into a cherished family. A family that boasts over 200 dedicated members, many of whom have devoted their entire professional careers to our shared vision.
Being located in Zavidovići, a town celebrated for its timber industry legacy, imbues us with an essence of both tradition and natural beauty. The Krivaja, our very namesake, along with two other rivers, gracefully flows through our town, enhancing its allure and reinforcing our connection to the land.
Our commitment is evident in every project we undertake, whether it's personal home or large commercial developments. We pride ourselves on being one of the few companies that oversee the entire production process - from log to home. Every piece of timber we use starts its journey at our own sawmills and is transformed, with meticulous care, into a final product, ensuring no part of the wood goes unused.

Today
The woodwork traditions of the Zavidovici area trace their roots back to the 19th century. It was then that Gregerson & Sohne and Eisler und Ortlieb first tapped into the rich forest resources of the region. Their foresight and ingenuity led to the establishment of the Eisler und Ortlieb plant, regarded as one of the most advanced and expansive facilities of its kind in Europe during that period.

Environmental policy statement
Krivaja TMK acknowledges the imperative need to ensure responsible environmental practices in all of its operations. We have instituted measures, training, and systems to meet this important responsibility. Senior leadership is committed to ongoing assessments and measures geared towards environmental performance, with a focus on preventing pollution and ensuring environmental protection.
Our objectives are as follows:
- Environmental Responsibility Integration: All business processes at Krivaja TMK will incorporate considerations for the environment. This includes planning for environmental protection, periodic policy reviews, goal setting, and performance audits.
- Regulatory Compliance: Krivaja TMK will employ methods that, while cost-effective, ensure compliance with current and forthcoming environmental regulations. We expect all individuals and entities working on our premises to adhere to these standards.
- Waste Reduction: A waste reduction strategy has been established, emphasizing treating waste predominantly at its origin rather than terminal waste treatments.
- Renewable Energy Commitment: By 2030, Krivaja TMK commits to sourcing at least 50% of its energy from in-house renewable sources.
- Efficient Wood Utilization: We aim to use 100% of wood mass. From the mill to final output, waste is minimized. Residual wood, regardless of size, is converted into pellets or briquettes for use within our facility.
- Continuous Environmental Performance Evaluation: Krivaja TMK is committed to regular reviews and adjustments in its environmental performance metrics. This encompasses careful resource management, reduced energy and water use, encouragement of recycling and reuse, and the betterment of waste management practices.
- Open Communication: Krivaja TMK maintains an open channel for communication on environmental matters, achieved through consistent training and awareness-building among staff.
